This is a very fine Qing Dynasty period, well-hallowed Dendritic Moss Agate Snuff Bottle of circular flattened form, with a high neck, a flat wide lip, and an oval foot rim surrounding a shallowly recessed flat foot. The translucent stone has abstract mottled patterns of dark blue, green, and brown patches, spots, fern -like forms and streams surrounding bursts of white and light blue tone ground. It comes with an orange banded agate stopper with a thin black collar, and a green finial. This outstanding looking bottle is in remarkable preserved condition. Similar form snuff bottle are illustrated in 'The Collector's Book of Snuff Bottles", by Bob C. Stevens, Items 459, 518 , and 571. Style common in late 18th C. and early 19th C.
