FAMILLE ROSE, Enameled Porcelain Snuff Bottle, Qianlong Mark, 1780-1799 This is a fine Famille Rose Enameled Porcelain Snuff Bottle, of a spade form with slopping shoulders, with a waited neck, a flat lip with a wide mouth, and a slightly convex rectangular foot. The bottle following the same form characteristics of similar bottles made during the XVIII century. The body of the bottle meticulously painted with famille rose enamel colors with a couple of solidly painted dragons ready for a fight, on one side, and the same dragons painted in a softer silhouette palette on the other side. The lip painted gold, the interior unglazed. The sides painted with brown patterns. The foot inscribed in iron-red script, Qianlong Nian Zhi (made during the Qianlong period). Imperial Kilns, Jingdezhen. It comes with a blue stopper with a white finial. This lively and colorful bottle is in remarkable preserved condition.
